Immersion Assembly

Monday  was the last term of the year at school. We had an immersion assembly for our new school topic for this term. It was about survivors. It was about how does animals survived.The first item was Team one talking about the Zoo. They are learning what zookeepers do to animals and what to animals adapt. Team two was learning about Dinosaurs.What they eat and wheres there habitat. Team Three is the same as team two. Team four is learning  about animals habitat. Team five  is learning how are humans are adapting to their habitat.

Cross Country

   Cross Country

After it was the Year 8s turn to do two laps around the reverse (Pt England Reverse). After we lined up for the race we waited for a 1 min for everyone to get ready to run. When Mr Burt said Ready SET and used his clappy thing for go.

We all sprinted it to the left side of the goal post and went around it. We ran to the opposite side of the field and went left threw the gate door we ran towards the mud which was yuck.

Ran straight to Mr Slade and went left from there. After we went past a teacher and went to Mrs Nalder. From the we ran straight to Mrs Clark and went right again. And then I got a bit tired. We repeated the same route to finish our last lap. It was a hard day of running around the reverse with mud and sweat.

On Wednesday A person named Dan came to the year 7 and 8 block to talk about Attitude. Hes was talking about Quality and Quantity , been yourself  , Backstabbing Boys Vs Girls social ,been a good friend and some jokes. Backstabbing is talking nice to someone in front of them and when your behind them and talking bad about them not in front of them.

Inquiry Presentation

This week we the Team 5 kids and teachers are thinking of making the school a lot better. Each class 1 to 5 from Team 5 showing what they did in there groups to improve your life at PT England School. One of my favorite presentations was when My friends Benjamin and Machu made a jenga game out of medium sized wood and was colored our school colors Black and Red.

My second favorite presentation was the people that made the Billy Kart which looked amazing.

Here is my reading task from the first day in this week. This is my scores from my task which is not good. It was a game of fugitive language which is hard it little kids will not handle. The Keywords are Smilie ,Metaphor,Personification ,Hyperbole or none of above.  

What is Technology

Technology is surrounded by all of us. It is like our Ipads Imac and Netbooks. They can help us learn like learning apps in our Ipads and Netbooks to write or create  new things. Google or Bling are the best websites to study or play games on. Green Vehicles make less pollution when they move. They use less fossil fuels and sometimes they do not pollute at all.

ANZAC Movie DLO

This term we have been learning about the ANZAC soldiers and WW 1.  In our literacy class, we have been reading different stories about the things that happened during this war.

My writing group decided to write a movie script to show some of the things we learnt about WW 1. We made a script first and planned it to together to make us comfortable of who's doing what. After when we planned it we went down to the playground and practiced what parts we were doing. We edited and sent it to each other so we can put it on our blog.

One thing that stood out to me was when they had shovels and lots of equipment which can be heavy. It will be difficult for people to carry over 900 meters which the soldiers had to do.

First and second day at school

This is the second day of school in my new class. Yesterday  when we got sorted into our classes we met our new teacher Miss Clark. We played a game. it was called Find the person that fits the catalog. For an example a person that has a pet neatier a cat or dog. What you will have to do is go and ask the person that fits the catalogue when you find he or she you need to write there name.
