Cross country race


After lunchtime at 2.30 we did cross country race. We did it  every after  lunch time. We had to practise for six weeks.  We did warm ups and warm downs every day.

On Friday we had the cross country race. We started at the Pt England reserve where Mr Burt was. When the race started we ran down  the path. My shoe came off  in the mud and I had to carry it. We ran over the bridges over the grass and back to school.

When I went through the finish line I went to the water to wash my shoes. When I was finished I went to sit down and put down my shoes to let them dry in the sun. I felt really tired. I went home and had a warm shower.

Canoeing

Canoeing

The equipment you need to do canoeing is a canoe,paddles and a river. You will need a coach to help you. You need to listen to your coach. You need to practise a lot.

canoeing sprint.  She made new record
in the olympic games. She paddles really fast.

When I grow up I will be a good canoeist and train really hard. I will join the club and eat a good diet. I will need to get a coach so he can make me  train hard.

Running the race

Nick Willis is the captain of the 2012  New Zealand Olympic team. He ran in the 1500 metres but he lost in the final. He trained really hard to win. He won his heat and he focussed on winning the race.

Our school is practicing for our cross country race. We have to run to the reserve then we meet Miss king we need to get across the road and back to school. I feel tired because I sprint all the way. Then we have to jog around the courts. May be I am getting to run faster.

The London Olympics 2012


Swimming at the Olympics

In the Olympics I saw the women swimming . They were diving into the pool. The Korean team won a gold medal . In the men’s backstroke New Zealand came fourth in the heats but  did not get into the final. They tried hard but they could not swim any faster.
