Camp Benton Kawau island

                   Next week year 6's will be going to camp Benton at Kawau island. It will have sports, Swimming, Kayaking, Fishing and fitness trail. it is going to be fun.

My weekend

At the weekend I was playing on my Laptop. I was playing my favorite game called World of tanks. it is a MMO War game.

World of tanks is a good war game it’s not a bad game. My favorite Teir 2 tank is the T18 it  has 51% of armor on the front. My favorite Teir 4 tank is Matilda and Valentine.

Anyone can play it only if your 8 or over you can play it.

The whisper

I heard a whisper but i can’t see someone. Was it the Sheep or the wind. The whisper was often strange. The farmer said “Hello is someone there” but nobody replied.

The farmer said “This is strange i heard a whisper but no one talked back”. So the farmer went back to take the sheep to the shed. The farmer was now scared.

The farmer went inside  the shed with the sheep. He heard a another whisper and it got a little bit louder. “I must be close” said the farmer.

When he got close the whisper was even louder then he saw a little sheep. “It was the sheep whispering” said the farmer. “How could a sheep been whispering?. Or the sheep was saying MA MA in a quiet voice.

Dana big day

               

Intro

Once a upon time there was a Sheep called Dana.  Dana was happy to be with her friends.  She ate grass happily with her friends. When Dana heard a bark she was scared.

Dana was really scared of dogs. There were some coming into her paddock. She started to run away from the Dogs. The Dogs were chasing Dana and her friends.

When Dana was getting chased she and her friends ran to the shearing shed. Dana and her friends were locked up at the shed. She was scared.

Dana said ‘’I remember this  last year.’’ “I hope its not that bad” said  one of her friends.‘’ Then Dana said “I hope i am not going to die.’’ ‘’Don’t worry Dana’’ said one of her friends.

It was time to shear the Sheep. Dana was scared “I hope its not that bad” said Dana. “Look at those sheep” said one of her friends. “They look skinny and naked” said one of her friends.

Dana was still in the shed she was scared and kind of sad. “Dana” said one of her friends. “Why are you sad.” “Because i think i am going to die” said Dana.” “You're not going to die” said her friend.

When it was Dana’s turn she was scared ”Hey put me down!” said Dana. What are you doing to me. The farmer took her to the shearing room. The farmer cut every part of the wool. ”Ahhhhhhhh!!!” said Dana “Let me go!”

 “Finally its over” said Dana. “It wasn’t that bad” said her friend. Dana and her friends were naked and skinny. “I feel kind of happy” said Dana.

Dana felt really happy to be skinny and not fat. Dana and her friends were really happy. THE END

I was shy for the Cross Country run I hope that I won't come last if I did I will be embarrassed. But i didn’t come last.

There were heaps of muddy puddles. My feet was starting to get slimey and muddy and I nearly slipped.

The weather was sunny and shiny  for the run. The sun was shining on the muddy parts of the field to make it hard so we won't slip. Some of us slipped but  I didn’t.

The three little Pigs

Once a upon a time there were three little pigs. They wanted to live by themselves first they said bye mum.

First was the little Pig. The little Pig wanted to make a house out of hay. First he spent his money to buy some hay. He built his hay house very quickly.

Then the wolf came and it said ‘LITTLE PIG LITTLE PIG LET ME come in”. “ NOT BY THE HAIR OF MY CHINNY CHIN CHIN’ replied the pig. Then I will puff and blow your house down. Then the wolf eat the little pig the wolf said ‘yum yum’.

The second little pig wanted to make a house out of sticks. She spend her money to buy some sticks and made a house.

Then came the wolf and it said  ‘LITTLE PIG LITTLE PIG LET ME COME IN”. “NOT BY THE HAIR OF MY CHINNY CHIN CHIN’ REPLIED THE PIG. Then I will puff and blow your house down. Then the wolf eat the little pig the wolf said ‘yum yum’.

Penguins

Did you know some Penguins live in Antarctica? There are many Penguins called Adelie Penguin, King Penguin,Emperor Penguin,Chinstrap Penguin,Rockhopper Penguins.    

Emperor Penguins have to keep their baby eggs on their feet. A male Emperor Penguin has to put the baby egg on its feet until the female Emperor Penguin comes back.

Penguins have waterproof coat to keep them dry. Penguins oso have blubber to keep them warm.

Killer Whales

Killer Whales are predators that can kill animals. Killer Whales eats Penguins,Seals,Krill,fish,birds.

Killer Whales swims all over the world. They teach their baby Killer Whales how to hunt food.

Seals

Did you know there is four seals live in Antarctica?  Leopard seals,Elephant seals,Crabeater Seal, Weddell Seal. Leopard Seals are predators that kills animals like Penguins,Seals,Birds.

Seals are mammals. Seals give birth to baby pups on the ice or land.

I have learned to write my own script, use a microphone, set up and use the camera and tripod. I have also learned to upload and edit my film using imovie and vimeo.

Penguins have thick blubber, under their skin. To keep the penguins cold,.

Penguins have a fluffy overlap  skin. And a waterproof coat.

Whales are the largest mammals, all over  the World.Whales can be found in oceans and Whales  are not fish.

A group of Whales is called a pod.  A Male Whale is called Bull, a Female, Whale is called ,Cow, a baby Whale is called Calf,.

Whales have Jaw bones. Whales have a thick layer of blubber,to keep them warm.

Some Whales have teeth some doesn't have teeth's. Whales have pegs.

Seals Antarctica

WALT-We are learning to summarise the main points of a paragraph.

Seals are mammals that live in oceans all over the world. All of the seals at Antarctica are non-eared seals.They have lots of blubber to keep them warm.

Seals have thick short hair on their streamlined body to keep them warm. They have flippers to help them be superb swimmers.Most of time seals are in the sea.  

Seals are clumsy on land but they are fast in water. All seals pull them self onto a iceberg. When the seals are on top an iceberg they give birth to their  pups.

Crabeater seals are the most common seals and they eat krill. There are over 30 million crabeater seals.  
Leopard seals hunt penguins underwater. The penguins are not afraid of Leopard seals on ice. Leopard seals are slow on land.  

Weddell seals spend the whole time at winter. They stay there even the water gets frozen. They turn to warmer parts.
